My first encounter with competition law was in the summer after my first year of law school, when I decided to attend a summer school on the subject. I have to be honest and admit that at the time I was attracted mainly by the vision of spending a week by the sea. But even then I was surprised by how interesting and diverse competition law actually is. The real turning point, however, came in my third year. During lectures and seminars, I became completely engrossed in the subject and realised that I wanted to devote myself to it. Competition law allows me to explore new areas and, thanks to its versatility, has never ceased to fascinate me.
